How did we get stuff to PNG anyways?

One of the many advantages of being part of an organization that has been around for over 75 years is they have learned a thing or two. They have programs and people in place to streamline processes that before were often very difficult and timely. One of these areas is getting items to a foreign country, often a 3rd world country, that you could really use or would make your ministry more efficient. Items such as baby clothes for the next 3 years as they grow, a dirt bike to get to the airstrip, cooking items and supplies.

That’s where JAARS comes in with one of the many services they provide! With the exception of filling out a little paperwork, you can simply pack and drop off whatever you want at the JAARS Shipping center and the awesome team there will make sure it shows up at your entity several months later!

For our container going to PNG we paid by the cubic foot, unlike most shipping services which charge by weight. This saved a great deal of money for us. Most pre-field missionaries do some sort of training at JAARS before departure so it’s convenient to just bring the items to ship with you and leave them there.
