About the Reeves Family:
Johnny grew up near a small town in Southern Kansas with five brothers. Hearing the stories of missionaries Nate Saint and Jim Elliot inspired him at an early age. Later in high school he remembered those stories after feeling the Lord directing him to a life in ministry. Knowing those men used an airplane to reach the unreachable people groups in Ecuador, he began searching for a way to combine aviation and mission work. This led him to LeTourneau University for a missions specific aviation program. There he met Sarah his wife and together they applied for membership to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Sarah grew up in Austin, Texas and was heavily involved in dance. After high school, she was accepted to the Rangerette dance program in Kilgore, TX just down the road from where Johnny was studying. She too felt a calling to serve the Lord through Dance because of Psalms 149:3 “Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre.” She has primarily filled the full time position of taking care of the boys, but has also had involvement in serving the local clinic and international school.
The Reeves have three boys named Brody 8, Weston 6, and Jonas 3.
About the assignment:
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. -Mark 16:15
Jonathan & Sarah are serving the country of Papua New Guinea!
While in PNG they use aviation to serve other missionaries and surrounding communities by flying the Quest Kodiak into small rugged airstrips. Daily flight tasks involve missionary transport, medical missions, supplies, economy development such as transporting coffee beans, and delivering newly translated Bibles! Jonathan also uses his Aircraft Mechanics License to perform inspections and repairs on the fleet of Kodiaks.
Sarah primarily looks after our kids but has recently began teaching at the primary campus of Ukarumpa International School.
Please consider partnering with their Wycliffe ministry by praying regularly or giving financially.

About the Mission:
Wycliffe Bible Translators has been translating the Bible into hundreds of heart languages around the world for over 75 years. The Bible Translators need a safe and efficient way to get to and from the villages in order to accomplish their work. That’s where JAARS comes in, providing Air/Land/Sea transportation for the missionaries. Without the resources that JAARS provides it would take days, even weeks, to travel to their village and thus delay the progress of Bible Translation! Some missionaries have stated the job would be far too exhausting or even impossible in some areas. JAARS reaches the last languages in the hardest places.
